It's a Lawyer's Joke too. For somewhat reasons, people in the US always dislike the Lawyers and take precautions against them. In this joke, Robert wanted to make a will but he didn't trust his lawyer. So when the lawyer said "leave it all to me" which means "let me deal with it", Robert misunderstood him. Robert thought the lawyer wanted to have his heritage. |
