Doctoral student position in Finland (3-4 years) Topic: Organic chemistry of polysaccharides Supervisors: Pedro Fardim and Thomas Heinze Contact: pfardim@abo.fi We are searching for a good and motivated student to work in a project related to creation of advanced biomaterials. The successful candidate is expected to hold a Master degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and solid knowledge about organic chemistry of biopolymers, spectrometry (NMR, FTIR, MS) and chromatography (HPLC, GC). Motivation, positive attitude towards research challenges and openess to work in a multicultural envinronment are also very appreciated.
