In this study, several factors influencing the trapping efficiency of the traps on Carposina niponensis were studied. The results demonstrated the sex pheromone from the zhongjiesifang company achieved higher trapping efficiency than the other. Significant trapping efficiency gaps could be witnessed among three types of traps while the Wing trap was with higher monitoring efficiency. The best trapping radius was around 20 to 25 m, at which the trapping efficiency was much higher than that at 15 m or 30 m. The trapping efficiency was prone to be impacted by the vegetation coverage and the traps worked better in the areas of open forest canopy without low shrub.
