[交流] PhD招聘--berlin--experimental chemical physics / physical chemistry已有8人参与

A PhD position (funded by DFG=German National Science Foundation)
for three years is immediately available in the laser
molecular spectroscopy and environmental physics group of
Prof. Otto Dopfer and Dr. Judith Langer
at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany.
The project is part A of the larger DFG research unit FOR 1282 (in total 9 projects) entitled
"Controlling the Electronic Structure of Semiconductor Nanoparticles by Doping and Hybrid Formation"
funded for three years.

The predominantly experimental research of this particular project involves
spectroscopic, mass spectrometric, and quantum chemical investigations
of silicon containing aggregates and clusters in the
gas phase, with strong relevance to a broad range of interdisciplinary
topics ranging from astrochemistry and plasma physics to material science.

Available equipment includes IR and UV lasers, several ion sources
and rf-traps, as well as several types of mass spectrometers.

Qualified candidates should hold a degree in Physics, Chemistry, or related
fields. Experience in several of the following fields is advantageous:

(1) laser spectroscopy
(2) mass spectrometry
(3) ion sources (EI, CI, MALDI, ESI)
(4) ion traps
(5) vacuum physics
(6) molecular beams
(7) cluster science
(8) data acquisition
(9) construction of apparatus

Interested and highly qualified candidates are encouraged to send their

cover letter, a CV (including list of publications), a statement of
qualifications relevant for the position (max. 1 page), a statement of
research interests (max. 1 page) as well as names and complete addresses of two referees.
The evaluation of the applications will begin at July 12 (2010) and will
continue until the position is filled. The desired starting date is as soon
as possible (negotiable).
