[交流] The different perspective between different people and different nations~

Last week, during the English class,  my foreign teacher post us a topic about perspective. He said the perspectives of different nations were different. Just like this, when look at a map, a Chinese may find China quickly and believe China is the center of the world. While a American may find America quickly and think Ameica to be the center of the world. Chinese may think America is in the west, and the American must think China is in the East. But to the people living in the North Pole, there are no nations even north, all they have is south. Even the barking of the dog all over the world sounds different. In China it sounds like "wang wang", but in America it sounds like "Ruff Ruff". And the duck, in China "ga ga", while in America "quack quack". The frog in China sounds like "gua gua", while it sounds like "ribbit ribbit" in America. The sheep in China "mian mian ", it is "bah bah " in America. ........ That is amazing, because the animals don't have language, the sounds they make are all the same across the world. The people with different languages sound this voice as different voice. Why don't we see the world map like this? Even in China, the people in the north and south have different perspectives. [ Last edited by wangji624 on 2010-5-31 at 16:10 ]
