谈谈我们投APL的坎坷经历已有3人参与

我们去年投APL，从投稿到出版也就一个半月时间不到，感觉很快。但今年投稿历经磨难，这里写出来，希望对大家有所参考。 我们今年是元月14号投出去的，状态如下： Revision Received 2010-03-02 10:58:34 Decision Sent 2010-02-09 10:42:16 Decision Letter Being Prepared 2010-02-09 09:54:29 Editorial Evaluation - Editor 2010-02-08 23:19:28 Under Review 2010-01-18 20:51:44 Securing Reviewer(s) 2010-01-14 21:01:35 Under Consideration - Editorial Office 2010-01-14 14:35:58 Author-Approved Files Submitted 2010-01-14 14:35:58 Under Consideration - Editorial Office 2010-01-14 12:22:01 Submission Check Complete 2010-01-14 12:22:01 Submission Check - Editorial Office 2010-01-14 07:43:46 Author-Approved Files Submitted 2010-01-14 07:43:46 Preliminary Manuscript Data Posted 2010-01-14 07:01:51 审稿经历了22天，意见是修改，审稿人给出的评价如下： Reviewer Comments: Reviewer #1 Evaluations: RECOMMENDATION: Reconsider for APL after mandatory revision (major) Paper Interesting: Yes Original Paper: Yes Sufficient Physics: Yes Well Organized: No Clear and Error Free: Yes Conclusions Supported: No Appropriate Title: Yes Good Abstract: No Satisfactory English: Yes Adequate References: Yes Clear Figures: Yes OVERALL RATING: Fair 虽然总体评价fair，不是太好。但编辑的意思，让我们修改。于是，我们经过将近一个月的时间，修改了文章，并写了response逐条回答了审稿人的意见。没有多久，我们收到编辑的回复意见，状态如下： Revision Received 2010-04-08 10:53:02 Decision Sent 2010-04-08 10:31:15 Decision Letter Being Prepared 2010-04-08 10:26:51 Editorial Evaluation - Editor 2010-04-08 00:47:38 Under Review 2010-03-09 02:05:54 Securing Reviewer(s) 2010-03-02 14:15:29 Under Consideration - Editorial Office 2010-03-02 13:30:58 Author-Approved Files Submitted 2010-03-02 13:30:58 Under Consideration - Editorial Office 2010-03-02 13:30:57 Submission Check Complete 2010-03-02 13:30:57 Submission Check - Editorial Office 2010-03-02 11:26:38 Author-Approved Files Submitted 2010-03-02 11:26:36 Preliminary Manuscript Data Posted 2010-03-02 10:58:33 从审稿意见来看，感觉编辑把我们的修改稿另找人重新审稿了，评价如下： Reviewer Comments: Reviewer #1 Evaluations: RECOMMENDATION: Reject Paper Interesting: Yes Original Paper: Yes Sufficient Physics: No Well Organized: No Clear and Error Free: No Conclusions Supported: No Appropriate Title: Yes Good Abstract: Yes Satisfactory English: Yes Adequate References: Yes Clear Figures: Yes OVERALL RATING: Poor 第二个审稿人指出我们在文中作了没有必要的一些计算，而这些计算正是第一个审稿人要求我们补充的。编辑的回复意见是：Attached or included below is the second report of the reviewer. In view of his/her recommendations, we cannot accept your paper for publication in this Journal. Even though the origin of the magnetic property is not completely expained (may not be straightforward), I suport publication of the revised manuscript. 尽管总体的评价仍然是fair，但编辑最后还是同意发表了。 这样，从1月14号投出去，到5月11号接受，差不多经历了四个月的时间，期间经历两次修改，一次退稿。虽然审稿人的总体评价不是太好，只是fair（不像去年的评价是very good）但感觉编辑还是欣赏我们的工作，所以退稿了，还是给我们机会修改和辩护。在总体评价不是很好的情况下，还是接受了。 所以，大家如果觉得自己工作好的话，一定要尽量争取。再给editor写信的时候，一定要就事论事，不要偏激。有时候有些审稿人的意见可能比较过分，但也要有礼有节。这样编辑就会倾向于你。这个也是在吸取以往的经验的基础上才总结出来的。去年我们有篇文章投到 Chem. Phys. Lett.，意见回来后，我们修改时，对其中一个审稿人的意见回答得不是很好，结果被拒。后来给editor写信申辩，可能带有一定的主观情绪，结果还是被拒。 建议大家在这方面多交流交流，我也看到本版的有很多有益的帖子，所以把自己坎坷经历贴上来，供大家参考。^_^ |
