Dear Dr. Xu:
Reviewers have now commented on your paper, as seen below. You will see that they are advising that you revise your manuscript.
If you are prepared to undertake the work required, I would be pleased to reconsider your manuscript. Please give a careful consideration
to the criticisms raised. All of them should be taken into account in a revised version of your manuscript.
Please send your revised manuscript, together with an itemized letter answering all the comments made and describing all changes
made in response, or the reason why no change should be made. In any case your manuscript might need a second review.
regards,

In this paper, TiO2-surface-imprinted polymer showed imprinting effect and was applied to the adsorption of organosulfur compounds like BT, DBT, 4-MDBT and 4,6-DMDBT. It is proved that D-MIP/TiO2 has better adsorption performance than the D-NIP/TiO2, D-CIP and TiO2. Moreover, adsorption of DBT on D-MIP/TiO2 is multilayer adsorption and is endothermic in nature. This technique seems to be feasible for removal of organosulfur compounds especially bulky molecules.
This paper can be published after the revision of following suggestions/changes:
1- What are the physical properties (e.g. surface area, porosity, crystallinity etc.) of the nano-TiO2 used? Why did you choose the rutile and not the anatase phase TiO2? As TiO2 has a major role here, so it would be useful to include the details mentioned above.
2- In Eq. (3) /¡±TiO2¡± is misspelled, correct it.
3- Section 3.1: There is no reference in the text, report the concerned reference at the proper place.
4- Did you check the adsorption behavior at the temperatures higher than 318 K and lower than 288 K (shown in Fig. 3), what is the trend?
5- Table 5, the imprinting factors for competitive assays data for 4-MDBT and 4,6-DMDBT is not reported?
