Osseo-Asare Editor Hydrometallurgy Reviewers' comments: Reviewer #1: GENERAL This paper focused on an important topic on the utilisation of electrolytic manganese (EM) residue as a potential source of manganese recovery. Conventional processing procedures for production of EM were employed for the leaching and purification steps followed by preparation of Mn3O4 product. However, the paper was not well structured and the quality of English was not adequate. It was not technically and economically justified to test the roasting method based on the existing knowledge. It is suggested to revise the paper including (1) rearraging the paper by shortening and moving any relevant and necessary literature parts into the introduction section, (2) omitting roasting related information and results including figures, (3) including information about equipment used for the testing, test scale, parameters monitoring and control, chemical grade, (4) omitting Figures 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and Tables 2, (5) discussing test results based on chemical assay results with additional visual observations, (6) changing the writing styles to paper formats, (7) giving sufficient references for the literature reviewed which are not well known knowledge, and (8) improving the quality of English. |

另外一个审稿人的意见是 要修改 Reviewer #2: This paper shows interesting results. Two methods were applied to reuse EMR by means of leaching with sulfuric acid, roasting EMR with ammonium salts respectively. However, the text must be revised. Some comments are given below: 第一个说 我的其中一种方法不适用，我觉得也是。其实都不怎么实用，科研嘛，很多都不太实用。 大家觉得我可以按照他们的要求修改后，可以继续投吗？ |
