Although the nominal frature toughness could reflect the variation of concrete, but itself is no real physical meaning; but there are models in the instability of being considered to be material constans, and the present studies have shown that when the sample size is less than 750mm, the instability still exist size effect, and calculated the model of the effective amount of crack propagation is constant, while the real effective amout of crack propagation expending is not constant. This article will use the instability toughness of size effect of concrete formulas and reflecting the actual amount of effective crack propagation formala to apply to the effective crack model . When we use the two-way interval induced joints equivalent strength formula, it has been revised to different forms of induced joints the equivalent intensity formula. Studies have shown [9,10] that concrete I-crack extension before instability, there is sub-critical expansion of the main crack. Existing literatures [11] showed that crack propagation in concrete cracks in the length of the effective existence of size effect, and draw for large volume concrete terms, a single straight line softening model calculation results derived from the measured value is closer to conclusion. Literature [12] based on nominal size effect of fracture toughness have been reflected in the formula size effect law of effective crack propagation length ¡÷ ac * expression.
