| Pin profiling is done by developing the relation between the width of the sheet/film and the width of the flow channel in the Feedblock., i.e., if the flow channel is 4'' wide and the untrimmed sheet width is 50'', then each .080 in the Feedblock corresponds to an inch in the sheet and relates to the same position relative to the centre of the sheet. Following this reasoning, it can be determined where the slot machining is required. It is not unusual in fine tuning for layer uniformity, to have to remachine the pin more than once. |
