The temperatures of phase transitions were determined in ternary mixtures with a constant mass content of (2), respectively, 2.5, 5.0, 7.5, 10.0, 20.0, 40.0, 70.0 mass % and also in ternary mixtures with constant mass relationship of (1) and (3) as 45.0:55.0, 57.5:42.5, and 70.0:30.0, respectively. L1 nitromethane-rich phase; L2 propanetriol-rich phase; L3 acid-rich phase. The phase which is being dissolved is indicated in the table. Method/Apparatus/Procedure: The synthetic method (Alekseev1) was used. Mixtures of (1), (2) and (3) of total mass 10g were heated with vigorous stirring to a temperature higher than the homogenization temperature, then slowly cooled until turbidity appeared. Heating and cooling cycles were repeated twice. Temperature values obtained for appearing and disappearing turbidity were averaged. |
