[交流] 收到一个回复，可是方向不是我想要的郁闷

海发了申请欧洲博后，特别是英国的手续繁等的时间长。中间在国内bbs看到一个广告就发了一份美国的 uiowa大学导师下面的回复。后来去他网页看看他是一个德国人是uiowa 一个学院（不是化院）research scientist 还兼职几个其他学院的什么教授，文章好像也不怎么强。我是有机化学他刚好要有机合成的可他不是化院。估计过去就帮他合成些中间体。方向不是我想要的郁闷。怎么办？拒面吗？

Thank you very much for your application for a postdoctoral position in my laboratory. Can you please ask your references to forward me their Letters of Recommendation?

Since I can't invite you for an interview I would like you to talk to somebody who lived in Iowa and knows me and the laboratory (and who is not currently affiliated with the laboratory). Therefore, I have asked Dr. xxx, a former postdoc in my group, to talk to you. I am copying him on this e-mail so you can get in touch with him directly. I know he is on vacation until March 9th and it may take him some time to get back to you.
