刚刚发表在Angewandte(德国应用化学,化学类顶级杂志)上关于燃料电池的文章。亮点在于:用静电自组装方法制备了新型PtAu双元体系,极大提高了对甲酸的催化活性;另外,对甲酸的氧化机理提出了新的解释。该文被评为“VIP” 文章。

Abstract: A Pt-around-Au nanocomposite is synthesized by electrostatic self-assembly (see picture; PDDA=poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride)). This catalyst shows significantly improved activity towards formic acid oxidation versus pure Pt catalysts. The possible reason is the efficient spillover of HCOO from Au to the surrounding Pt nanoparticles, where HCOO is further oxidized to CO2.

其实开始设计实验的目的是: 用Au来修饰Pt nanoparticles,提高Pt的稳定性,但是结果不理想。结合自己以前的文章(S. Zhang, Y. Y. Shao, G. P. Yin and Y. H. Lin, J. Power Sources, 2010, 195, 1103.),出乎意料地发现,新制备的Pt-around-Au对甲酸具有极高的催化活性。然后,补充了TEM 和XRD物理表征,搜索了相关文献,准备写文章。但是和YuYan Shao (本人师兄)讨论后,觉得以前的理论并不能解释现在的现象。于是进行了CO吸附试验,据此提出了甲酸氧化的新机理。文章写好后,修改了五六篇,投出后直接接收。这是我们组里的第一篇高档次的文章,并且是VIP paper.  Your communication is a Very Important Paper (VIP) according to the evaluation of two referees. 个人觉得做研究,工作一定要细致,需提供令人信服的证据才可以得到一个结论。另外,要踏实,要努力发现现象背后的真实原因。
