A PostDoc position available in Prof. Chi Li's lab at University of Louisville,KY,USA. Prof. Li is a very smart scientist and a very nice person. He achieved his B.S from University of Science & Technology of China in 1991 and Ph.D from Columbia University in 1998. Now he is associate professor of UofL. His research focus on molecular targets. Research Interests: One of the hallmarksof cancer is the inhibition of apoptosis, a tightly controlled cellular suicide program. Among the major regulators of cellular responses to intrinsic and extrinsic apoptotic stimuli is the Bcl-2 family of proteins. Experiments conducted in this laboratory are designed to elucidate the detailed molecular mechanisms of how Bcl-2 proteins regulate apoptotic signaling pathways initiated from different intracellular organelles. We hope that better understanding of functions of Bcl-2 proteins during apoptosis will contribute to the development of new cancer treatments. Selected publications: Li, C. and Manley, J.L.
