Postdoctoral Fellow in Organic Chemistry: Applications are invited from highly motivated synthetic organic chemists to participate in the Iowa Superfund Research Program. This multidisciplinary program is funded by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and studies the distribution and toxicities of airborne PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls). This position involves the synthesis of environmentally relevant PCBs and their hydroxylated metabolites and will involve the development of new synthetic strategies to various PCB metabolites. This position requires a strong background in organic synthesis, excellent communication skills, and the willingness to work within a well-integrated interdisciplinary research team. Salary is commensurate with experience.
