1、The Catholic University of America 大学（研究所）招聘博士后 2、biophotonics 专业方向 biophotonics 3、博后位置介绍 The Biomedical Optics Laboratory at the Catholic University of America is seeking to fill an immediate opening for a post-doctoral fellow. The one year project is funded by a NIDDR and is a collaborative effort between the Catholic University of America and the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington DC aimed at investigating skin health with photonics techniques. Research in our laboratory focuses on the development of diagnostic techniques for a variety of applications. Current projects include: early detection of diabetic retinopathy, assessment of skin cancer margins, and monitoring of skin health in individuals with spinal cord injury. Qualifications: The postdoctoral fellow should be a motivated individual with a background in biophotonics, that has prior knowledge of fiber based techniques and familiarity with both instrumentation and models. Dr. Zhang’s lab is interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms of cell cycle checkpoint and developing therapeutic strategies against human cancers. We are particularly interested in the S phase replication checkpoint. (Molecular Cell, 19, 607-618, 2005; Molecular Cell, 35, 442-453, 2009). The Department has a broad range of research areas from signaling transduction to protein structure. It provides an excellent environment to foster collaborations among laboratories working on different research areas. Self-motivated individuals who have a PhD degree completed within the past three years are encouraged to apply. Strong background in biochemistry and molecular and cellular biology is required. Cleveland is a beautiful city located near Lake Erie, and has four-season weather.
