| TiO2 electrochromic coatings were successfully fabricated by the MAO method on commercially pure titanium substrates in Al(OH)3 colloidal solution. The coating surface morphology becomes coarser with increasing the voltage. The coatings were completely consisted of rutile TiO2, no other TiO2 phases been detected. During the cyclic voltammetry sweeps, the coatings show good reversibility between blue coloration and bleaching cycles in pH 2.0 HCl solutions. The cyclic voltammograms indicates that the coatings work well as an electrochromic material, and the MAO is a feasible method to fabricate TiO2 electrochromic coatings. Considering the microstructure and cyclic voltammograms of the coatings, the voltage has some great impact on the characteristic of the coatings. |
