尊敬的女士们，先生们： 大家下午好！我今天演讲的题目是《我和你》，“我”就是在座的各位，以及成千上万和我们一样的江西水利人，“你”就是我们为之奋斗终身的江西水利事业。 Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen: It’s my honor to speak here and I am very happy to share my topic with you. Then the topic is about you and me. “Me” is actually every one of you sitting here and hundreds of thousands co-workers from Jiangxi water conservancy as a whole. Here “You” means the water conservancy cause which all of us are dedicated to all our lives. 众所周知，我省地处长江中下游地区，水资源相对较为丰富，洪涝和干旱并重，灾害频发，全省水利条件喜忧参半，形势逼人，为全省经济社会快速发展保驾护航，江西水利事业任重道远，江西水利人使命光荣、责任重大。 As is well known, Jiangxi province is located in the area along the middle and lower reaches of Yangtse River. Comparatively, we are blessed with abundant water resources. However, flood and drought haunt more often than not and lead to frequent disasters. Overall, the water conservancy conditions throughout the whole province remain bittersweet and the situation turns to be pressing. To safeguard the rapid social and economic development of our province is a heavy task for Jiangxi water conservancy construction and there is a long way ahead in this regard. We take it as an honorable mission as well as great responsibility. 改革开放30年，江西水利人始终坚持以解放思想为先导，不断完善江西水利工作思路；始终坚持紧紧围绕江西经济发展，突出重点，不断提高水利支撑和保障水平；始终坚持深化水利改革，努力构建江西水利发展的长效机制；始终坚持业务工作和自身建设两手抓，推进江西水利和谐可持续发展。江西水利紧紧围绕全省经济社会发展大局，开拓创新，扎实推进，取得了显著成绩： Over the 30 years of reform and opening up, we unswervingly abide by the thoughts of mind emancipation at first and constantly improve the way of thinking about Jiangxi water conservancy; always adhere to the principle of serving the development of Jiangxi economy with key projects preferred and gradually enhance the support and insurance capability of water conservancy; always insist on reform of water conservancy and attempt to construct a long-term mechanism for Jiangxi water conservancy development; always focus on boosting the sustainable development of Jiangxi water conservancy in unison from both vocational work and self improvement consideration. Jiangxi water conservancy has been tightly gripping the principle of serving the social and economic development of the whole province and actively blazing a trail to go ahead.
