PhD & Postdoctoral Openings — Zheng Lab @ UTSA

Two PhD positions (immediate start) and one Postdoctoral position are available in the Zheng Lab at the University of Texas at SanAntonio(UTSA) We design bio-inspired soft materials and data-driven polymers for engineering and biomedical applications.

General Requirements (PhD)
•English proficiency: TOEFL PBT ≥550/TOEFLiBT≥79/IELTS≥65/ Duolingo≥100
•MS degree required
•Self-motivated proactive and positive attitude
•GRE NOT required

PhD Position1—Computational Materials/Data
•Experience in molecular dynamics(MD) or data mining
•Strong interest and skills in programming(egPython/C/C++);
ML experience is a plus

PhD Position 2—Experimental Biomaterials/Polymers
•Experience with cell and protein studies or polymer synthesis

Postdoctoral Position—Polymer Synthesis
•Expertise in polymer synthesis; experience bridging structure–property–function relationships is a plus
•Strong publication record and ability to mentor junior researchers
