pUZ8002 RK2 derivative with defective oriT (aph) RK2 Genebank登录号为:BN000925.1 Plasmid pUZ8002 is a derivative of RK2 with a mutation in oriT. The efficiency of conjugal transfer of this plasmid was 1,000-fold less than that of RK2, but it is capable of mobilizing other plasmids efficiently. Plasmid pUZ8002 (J. W. Wilson and D. H. Figurski, unpublished data) is a derivative of pUZ8 (Kmr Tcr ) that carries the oriT1 mutation of an RK2 oriT1 derivative. The oriT1 mutation severely reduces pUZ8 self-transfer by several orders of magnitude (103). Wild-type pUZ8 self-transfer is similar to that of RK2 because it uses the same conjugation system found on RK2. The oriT1 mutation reduces self-transfer but not mobilization.
