分子式  (CH3)2C(CH2OH)2
   性质  白色结晶固体,无臭,具有吸湿性。熔点124~130℃。沸点210℃。密度(21℃)1.06g/cm3。闪点129℃。自燃点399℃。升华温度210℃。易溶于水、低级醇、低级酮、醚和芳烃化合物等。
   用途  主要用于制造树脂、增塑剂和表面活性剂
   毒性   低毒。大鼠经口LD50≥6400mg/kg。小鼠经口LD50为3200~6400mg/kg。对皮肤刺激性小。但大量饮用会刺激中枢神经,引起呕吐、疲倦、昏睡、呼吸困难、震颤、肾脏充血和出血、肝脏脂肪病变、闭尿、支气管炎和肺炎等症状,严重者甚至导致死亡。  
   包装储运  采用镀锌铁桶包装,每桶25kg。贮存于阴凉、通风处,防晒、防热、防潮。按一般化学品规定贮运。

EMERGENCY OVERVIEW  
Risk of serious damage to eyes.Moisture sensitive.  
Potential Health Effects
Eye: Causes redness and pain. May cause eye irritation and possible damage.  
Skin: May cause skin irritation. Causes redness and pain.  
Ingestion: May cause irritation of the digestive tract.  
Inhalation: May cause respiratory tract irritation. The toxicological properties of this substance have not been fully investigated.  
Chronic:  
Section 4 - First Aid Measures  
Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid immediately.  
Skin: Get medical aid. Flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes.  
Ingestion: Get medical aid. Wash mouth out with water.  
Inhalation: Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. Get medical aid.
