Universität Hamburg¡ªUniversity of Excellence is one of the strongest research educational institutions in Germany. The PhD thesis work will be focused on density functional theory calculation with many body theory for exploring the novel electronic and optical properties of two-dimensional materials. This position will provide excellent research conditions and full scholarship to cover the life in Hamburg. All the lectures will be given in English and the duration of study is 4-5 years. Requirement: - A bachelor degree of physics obtained in one of the top universities in China with GPA (grade point average) above 4.0. - TOELF score above 90. - Good knowledge of computer skills, including Linux system, Fortran and python languages. - Strong motivation for indepedent research work within the team and collaborations.
