爱尔兰国立科克大学 土木工程博士UCC-CSC专项全额奖学金 1 PhD position in Geotechnical Engineering at University College Cork (UCC) to be fully funded by UCC-CSC Scholarship starting from Autumn 2024.PhD visiting students and visiting post-doctors are also welcome. Civil Engineering in University College Cork has a long and distinguished tradition dating back to 1845. Dr. Zili Li is a tenured Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Civil / Geotechnical Engineering at University College Cork, and a visiting Scientist / Professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), US. His research interests mainly include tunnelling engineering, energy geotechnics, big data in geotechnics and innovative monitoring techniques (e.g., distributed fibre optic sensing, underground gas storage, data-driven computational analysis). https://www.ucc.ie/en/civileng/people/drzilili/ https://www.zililigroup.com/ Dr. Li holds a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from Tongji University in China. He acted as the chair conference organiser of the 4th International Symposium on Machine Learning and Big Data in Geoscience 2023 https://www.ismlg2023.com, and is the PI of CERN tunnel monitoring project and won prestigious Science Foundation Ireland Frontiers for the Future Programme research grant. Currently, he is mentoring 3 Postdoc, 9 PhDs and hosting 2 visiting PhD students at UCC. Qualified PhD students will have opportunities to visit University of Cambridge / UC Berkeley, US or Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) 6 ~ 12 months for joint research projects.
