POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN BIOENGINEERING The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. School of Medicine is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to join the laboratory of Dr. Xiaowei Li. The lab is focused on creating bioengineering platforms for tissue regeneration and is looking for a candidate with a recent Ph.D. degree in biomaterials, tissue engineering, or regenerative medicine. The successful applicant will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop cutting-edge biomaterial approaches to modulate injured/diseased tissue microenvironment, direct exogenous/endogenous stem cell fates, and facilitate functional tissue regeneration and integration. The division offers a dynamic research environment with a spectrum of clinical, translational, and basic science studies, which provides excellent opportunities for the candidate to interact and collaborate with experts in surgery, medicine, basic science, and engineering. The qualified applicant should have excellent oral and communication skills, and substantial cell and molecular biology experience will be favorably considered. The salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, similar to the recommended scales by the National Institutes of Health.
