[交流] 香港中文大学信息工程系(IE) Wingcheong Lau招分布式机器学习全奖PhD

香港中文大学信息工程系（ie department）的 prof. wing cheong lau计划招收2023fall的phd. 主要面向的方向是云计算网络系统、分布式机器学习。希望有意向的申请者具备较好的数学功底，比如关于optimization方面的能力，了解计算机操作系统和体系架构。

能力很强的候选人还可以申请港府hkfps的奖学金，每个月将会有2.2w+hkd。

subject: recruiting phd students in the area of resource optimization for cloud computing / networking and distributed machine learning systems

the research group of prof. wing c. lau, department of information engineering, the chinese university of hong kong,
is recruiting new phd students for fall 2023 to work on the design, implementation and performance analysis of
(1) cloud computing/ networking systems, and/or (2) distributed machine learning systems.

applicants should have strong technical background in one or more of the following areas:

- machine learning,

- system/ stochastic modeling,

- mathematical optimization,

- large-scale software systems building/ proto-typing,

- networking protocol design and implementation,
