| Many materials seemingly in morphology to Fe2O3, such as Fe2O3 nanorods, nanotubes, nano-perianth have been synthesized. But heretofore, there have not found any research about the synthesis of rice-ball shaped Fe2O3 microstructures. In the paper, we focused on the simple method, experimental technique and principium of the preparation of the rice-ball shaped Fe2O3 microstructures. We believe that the application prospects for this particular morphology materials in electrochemistry and catalysis field would be extensive, even though further thought of its application has not been performed temporarily. We thank the reviewers for the valuable suggests on our study and in the future we will try our best to seek the application for such material. And some latest references on the applications of Fe2O3 nano-materials have been replenished to the introduction section in the revised manuscript. We also thank the reviewers very much for your recommendation of the similar article, and we have read it seriously, and are very glad to cite it in the revised manuscript. |

Many morphologies of Fe2O3, such as nanorods, nanotubes, nano-perianth of Fe2O3 have been synthesized. But so far, no synthesis research about rice-ball shaped Fe2O3 microstructures has been found. In our article, we focus on simple method, experimental technique and theory about the preparation of the rice-ball shaped Fe2O3 microstructures. Little thought was performed for the application of this particular morphology materials.
