[交流] (UTA)Postdoc Position in Computational Materials Science and Fluid Dynamics

Dr. Ye Cao’s research group in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) at The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) has one Postdoc Position Opening starting in Fall 2022. Dr. Cao’s group is broadly interested in multiscale modeling in understanding materials structural and property relationships, and designing new materials and structures.
The research project of this opening is to understand the stability and kinetics of fluid that flows in a porous media. The student will work on developing an integrated computational fluid dynamics and phase-field model, and performing computational simulations on the oil-water separation and its stability under flow conditions in porous media. He or she will also work closely with experts in materials synthesis and characterization.
Dr. Cao joined MSE at UTA as an Assistant Professor in 2017. Before that, he worked as a postdoc at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University.
Preferred Qualification:
 A Ph.D. degree in materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering, or related
disciplines;
 A strong motivation in research and a strong commitment to hard work;
 Expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics is required. Knowledge and experience in
computational materials science is preferred.
