A sacrificial initiator,ethyl 2-bromoisobutyrate(EBiB), was also added so that the molecular weight of the grafted polymer could be tailored. EBiB will also initiate polymerizaiton, causing a bulk polymer to form simultaneously to the graft-copolymer from the surface. 但好像sacrificial initiator一般在ATRP中提到是和initiator terminationi并存的 |

可能我明白你的意思了。你看的应该是在用surface initiate的方法做surface brush， 采用ATRP的方法。很多体系中，因为表面接枝的initiator密度不够（或者绝对量太低），在后续活性聚合的时候，常常会被体系残存的O2失活，导致试验失败  有的人，就在体系里面额外加了一部分自由的引发剂，同时引发。这样失活的时候， 按照几率，至少会在表面上留下一些活性的polymer chain 这个额外加的引发剂就是起到牺牲O2作用的。翻译吗？一定有人用过的，你看看 博士论文数据库... 你的理解如何？ [ Last edited by xgyanger on 2009-8-26 at 16:00 ] |

xgyanger说对了 我看的正是surface initiate ATRP法 但之前没去想过它的具体作用 你的理解可能是对的 再结合下上下文看看 A sacrificial initiator,ethyl 2-bromoisobutyrate(EBiB), was also added so that the molecular weight of the grafted polymer could be tailored. EBiB will also initiate polymerizaiton, causing a bulk polymer to form simultaneously to the graft-copolymer from the surface. Because the amount of sacrificial initiator is much larger than the amount of initiator attached to the surface, the amount of initiator attached to the surface is neglected, and the molecular weight of the resulting bulk and grafted polymer is only a function of the sacrificial initiator-to-monomer ratio. This is a common method to control the length of the grafts from surface confined initiators. 但不大理解倒数第二句only function指的内容 看来得找找文献看看 xgyanger是做ATRP的么 谢谢指教哈 |
