美国田纳西大学土木学院招计算力学方向博士生

We have an open PhD position starting in the Fall semester 2022 at the Computational Laboratory for the Mechanics of Interfaces at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville (https://www.researchgate.net/lab/Timothy-J-Truster-Lab-2 and https://clmi.utk.edu). Current potential research topics in the group are: bone densification and fracturing, composite panel defect detection, and contact modeling of soft materials. Preference is given to candidates who possess a master's degree in civil, mechanical, or other related engineering field at the time of enrollment at UTK, though bachelor’s candidates can apply. A strong background in computational mechanics, materials science of heterogeneous materials, and/or computer programming in one of MATLAB/FORTRAN/C++ is desired. US citizenship or residency is also desired, though not required. If interested, contact Dr. Truster directly at ttruster@utk.edu. Please include your CV along with a brief description of prior research experiences and how your interests align with the research conducted at CLMI. In your CV, include: GPA, GRE test scores, and publication list. Minimum GRE scores for admission are Q = 155 and Q+V = 300. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted after October 30. |
