【实验室介绍】 Tu Research Group at TAMU Dr. Qing Tu is an assistant professor in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at Texas A&M University (TAMU). Prior to joining TAMU, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University. He received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science from Duke University, and B.S. in Theoretical & Applied Mechanics from Peking University. He also obtained a certificate (minor) in Nanoscience and M.A. in Economics from Duke University. His research has been focused on understanding and engineering the surfaces and interfaces in advanced functional materials (e.g., 2D materials, hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites) from a mechanics perspective to design and optimize their properties for applications. The ongoing studies in the group include (but not limited to)advanced scanning probe microscopy, interfaces in low dimensional materials and thin films, 2D hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites, piezoelectric and ferroelectric materials and mechanics of soft and biomaterials. AAJ&hl=en). 【招生/招聘信息】 Current Openings The group is looking for highly motivated student researchers (graduate and undergraduate), postdocs, and visiting scholars. Prospective Postdoctoral Fellows We have one postdoc opening in the group. We are looking for highly motivated postdoctoral candidates with a strong background in semiconductor device fabrication/characterization. Additional experience in 2D materials and scanning probe microscopy would be preferred. Good knowledge in finite element simulation of multi-physical field coupling, 2D hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites, CVD synthesis of 2D materials, or LabVIEW is a plus. If you have extra information such as independent funding experience, please also put it in the email. The opening is immediately available. The appointment will be 12 months, renewable based on performance and funding availability. Prospective Graduate Students We have two openings for PhD students in Fall 2022 and/or Spring 2022. We would like you to have solid scientific training in at least one of the following areas: Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, and Electrical Engineering. Experience with finite element simulations, materials characterization, microfabrication and semiconductor devices is a plus.
