美国北卡州立大学招全奖博士2022春秋（材料机械生物工程方向)

overview dr. jingjie hu's group in the department of mechanical and aerospace engineering at nc state has openings for two fully funded ph.d. positions in the areas of mechanics of materials and biomaterials. research in the group focuses on the mechanical behaviors of biological and biomedical systems, using both experimental and theoretical approaches (https://jingjiehu.com). selected candidates are expected to start in spring or fall of 2022. qualification highly-motivated students with bachelor's or master's degree from all engineering and science backgrounds, especially in mechanical engineering, materials science, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering and physics, are encouraged to apply. research experience in afm, mechanics, characterization, cell culture and biomaterials is desired but not required. how to apply interested candidates should contact dr. hu (jhu35@ncsu.edu) directly with anticipated starting date and their cv. review of applications will start immediately and continue until the positions are filled. the candidates should also apply through graduate school (https://www.mae.ncsu.edu/admission/) and follow the application deadlines (https://www.mae.ncsu.edu/academi ... to-apply-graduate/) about dr. hu dr. hu received her ph.d. in mechanical and aerospace engineering from princeton university and her b.s.e in mechanical engineering from university of michigan. before joining nc state, she completed her post-doctoral training in bioengineering at mayo clinic. her work is highly interdisciplinary, and has been published in high impact journals, including advanced materials, advanced science, science translational medicine and acta biomaterialia. about nc state and rtp (research triangle park) nc state is a public land-grant university based in raleigh, the capital of north carolina. according to the 2021 edition of us news & world report rankings, nc state is #25 in best graduate engineering schools and #80 in national universities. as a research i university, nc state is a key part of the research triangle region, which is home to industry leaders such as nc state partners sas, cisco, ibm, glaxosmithkline and lenovo. in 2021, the raleigh and durham area ranked no. 2 in u.s. news & world report's “best places to live”. home to three tier 1 research universities ╟ nc state in raleigh, duke university in durham and the university of north carolina at chapel hill ╟ the triangle was ranked by forbes as the second most educated city in the country. founded in 1959, rtp is the largest research park in the united states and remains one of the most successful science parks across the globe. its 7,000 acres house hundreds of companies, including science and technology firms, government agencies, academic institutions, startups and nonprofits.
