Comments to the Author Dear Authors, I have reviewed the manuscript PB-09-0307 “Synthesis and Reaction Kinetics Model of Suspension Phase Grafting Polypropylene with Dual Monomers”. The paper submitted is related to studies in an interesting field of polymer chemistry-suspension phase for synthesis of grafted copolymers. I recommend publication, but I suggest some revisions to understand. 1. I think the introduction should be rewritten to clearly understand your manuscript. 2. For validation, data analysis should be accompanied with statistical data such as standard deviation. How many times did you repeat the experimental work for each parameter? The series of data should be presented in an average and stated with standard deviation. 3. The relationship of Reaction Kinetics Model and Synthesis should be better described. 4. The references is not enough. Sincerely, Reviewer: 2 Comments to the Author The manuscript under consideration is quite interesting from a scientific point of view. However, I have some remarks concerning the content and presentation of the results. 1) Authors should make clear the experimental conditions of the suspension polymerization reaction for preparing PP-g-MAH-St studied. 2) Authors have to correct the figures accordingly to the instructions for authors of the journal. 3) I do not really understand why authors consider that diffution of monomers and other agents occurs from liquid phase just into the amorphous phase of PP grain? I consider that additional investigation of grafted polymers by using DSC method can clarify this questions. |
