Abstract

Graft copolymn. of acrylonitrile (AN) onto carboxymethyl chitin (CMC) was carried out.  The effect of reaction temp. and time, amt. of initiator, solvent, monomer on graft copolymn. were studied.  The optimum condition were as following: CMC 0.4 g, water 40.0 mL, initiator 50.0 mg, monomer 2.5 g, reaction temp. 60C, reaction time 2 h.  Copolymer had water-soly. and the reason of water-soly. was analyzed.

Abstract

A 9'-acryloxyspirooxazine grafted carboxymethyl chitin was synthesized.  The effect of reaction temp. and time, amt. of solvent, initiator and monomer on graft copolymn. were studied.  The optimum condition of the max. grafting efficiency was shown as following: CMC 0.4 g, H2O 50.0 mL, initiator 0.35 mmol, monomer 3.0 mmol, reaction temp. 70, reaction time 4.0 h, the grafting% was 65%, grafting efficiency was 25.2%.

Abstract

Using ammonium persulfate (APS) as initiator, the graft copolymer of Me acrylate with carboxymethyl chitin was prepd. and the effects of reaction condition on graft copolymn. were studied.  The optimum condition was shown as follows: carboxymethyl chitin 0.4 g, Me acrylate 2.0 g, water 50.0 mL, APS 60.0 mg, at 50C, reaction time 3.0 h.  Graft copolymer was water-sol.  The reaction was initiated by the oxidn.-redn. system which was composed of APS and the amino-group of carboxymethyl chitin.
