TiMoCu/PMMA composite has been produced by immersion of the sintered porous Ti-7Mo-5Cu alloy in the solutions of MMA mixed with initiator AIBN (weight ratio 100:1) and then evacuating to 0.09 MPa for 1 h followed by polymerization at 318 K in air for 24 h. Remarkable increase of compressive strength of TiMoCu/PMMA composite compared with that of porous TiMoCu alloy indicates that it is an effective approach to ameliorate mechanical property of metal foam.
