With kind regards, Shri Mohan Jain, PhD Associate Editor Comments for the Author: Reviewer #2: The authors did not address the major concerns (1) genetic characterization of the resistance, (2) the presentation of the paper (for example the lengthy introduction; (3)the English (the title alone is problematic:"Resistant" should be "resistance"; no sufficient data supporting "high yield and earliness" form the early generations; only one somaclone was identified to be resistant, but "somaclones" is used). The authors stressed the importance of "obtainning stabile somaclones", but this has already demonstrated that both stable and instable somclones exist, for example the paper cited Arun et al (2003) already showed that "The superiority of variants for yield traits and disease resistance was established in R4 generation, confirming the possibility of wheat improvement through somaclonal variation.", therefore, the present study can only be another example in this field, but it alone is not qualified for a paper. Reviewer #3: The authors revized the manuscript considerably. But, there were still many sentences or words that are incorrect, or inappropriate, or grammatically wrong. It is strongly suggested that the authors of the MS draft would invite a writing-experienced person to revise the MS |
