香港中文大学信息工程系Prof. Wing Cheong Lau近期招收PhD。 可以走PhD申请的特别快速通道，6月22日前申请，6月底即可出结果，而且有全额奖学金。 已经拿到海外offer但是受疫情和签证影响无法出去的内地同学，主要是CS, IE, EE之类背景的同学，可以认真考虑一下。 Prof.Lau近期的研究主要涉及graph Learning, deep learning/machine learning, cybersecurity等，同时也有关于big data system, online payment network, blockchain等的研究。 有意向的同学可以直接联系Prof. Lau （wclau@ie.cuhk.edu.hk ）。 也欢迎向周围条件适合的朋友推荐：） ============================================================================================== 以下是Prof.Lau关于PhD的招收信息： Special Recruitment of PhD students for Fall 2020 Due to the rapidly changing situation, the IE department of CUHK has decided to provide a special channel for PhD applications for Sept 2020. It aims to target those already received PhD admission offers from overseas universities and were planning to start their study overseas in Sept 2020 but have to change their plans due to pandemic and visa issues. Along with IE's departmental effort, MobiTeC of CUHK will also invite applicants for PhD student positions starting Fall 2020 or as soon as possible. Successful candidates will be working with Prof. Wing C. Lau (https://www.ie.cuhk.edu.hk/~wclau) Director of Mobile Technologies Centre (https://mobitec.ie.cuhk.edu.hk) in one of the following areas based on mutual interest: - Resource Management and Optimization for Big Data Processing/ Cloud Computing/ Distributed Machine Learning Systems ; - Network/ System Security and Privacy - Scalable Graph Representation Learning Algorithms/ Systems and their applications in Blockchain/ Smart Contract/ E-payment Networks Predictive Analytics Applicants must have strong interest and background in at least one of the following areas: Stochastic Modeling, Optimization algorithms, Machine/Deep Learning, Big Data Analytics and Systems, Hands-on System building/ proto-typing, Network/ System Security.
