A Ph.D. Graduate Student Assistantship is available in Soil Physics in cooperation with the Grain Crops program and the Grain and Forage Center of Excellence in the area of irrigation, water quantity and quality, and nutrient management at the Department of Plant & Soil Sciences. This research project is focused on variable-rate irrigation and associated soil-water, nutrient, and crop growth dynamics. The candidate should have basic knowledge in soil science and agronomy with an interest in on-farm research, spatio-temporal process dynamics, and data analysis as well as digital agriculture.
