Cell出版社旗下iScience目前是唯一的综合性期刊，肯定是对标小NC，cell reports 包括cell reports xx系列都不是综合性期刊，明显是对标communicaions xx 系列，这也可以从各期刊主编的经历可以看出来，例如cell reports physical science 期刊主编luke batchelor之前是communicaions xx 主编。我自己之前的亲身投稿经历也验证了这一点，之前投了两篇Joule，送审后被拒的那篇让转投iScience，未送审的那篇让转cell reports physical science。总之，我觉得不能凭另外一个期刊的主编的一句话去评判一个期刊，他也决定不了，大家都是科研人，还是要综合各方面数据，拿数据说话，特别是要看上面文章的质量。至于iScience能不能如愿能够挑战小NC，可能两年甚至多年后后才能知晓，个人见解，抛砖引玉
