Postdoctoral fellow in neuroscience, molecular biology or biochemistry A postdoctoral fellow or research associate is being sought to study the genetic, molecular and cellular mechanisms of the vestibule (the peripheral balance system) at Boys Town National Research Hospital. A doctoral degree (PhD or advanced MD) in the field of molecular/cellular neuroscience, neuroendocrinology or protein biochemistry is required, and experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable: protein interactions, protein trafficking, cellular signaling, quantitative gene/protein expression, high-resolution fluorescent microscopy, electron microscopy, inner ear biology or synaptic functions. Prior experience in the vestibule/inner ear field is not required, but skillful hands on either molecular/cellular techniques or refined tissue dissection are essential. Salary will be commensurate with training, experience and publication record.
