postdoctoral researcher position in geotechnical engineering

one postdoctoral researcher position in geotechnical engineering is available in the department of civil and environmental engineering (cee) at university of hawaii at manoa (uhm). the successful applicant, starting from january 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter, will work on a hawaii department of transportation (hdot) project on new grouting materials for costal coral sand stabilization. major duties include: laboratory test, field test, data analysis, modeling, and report writing. the duration of this position is one year. the salary for this position is $45,000 per year.

   successful applicant should have:
• ph.d. degree in geotechnical engineering or construction materials
• previous research experience related to cement materials and soil stabilization
• a strong record of referred journal publications
• the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with graduate students and researchers
• strong oral and written communication skills
• applicants with experience in computer vision and ai are desired.
