1.NiSi alloy powders were prepared by high energy ball-milling. The elemental powders of Si (¨D325 mesh, 99%;Aldrich) and Ni (¨D100 mesh, 99.8%; Aldrich) as well as hardened steel balls were put into the steel vial. 2.The alloy powders were characterised by X-ray diffraction on a Philips PW1730 diffractometers with a Cu K¦Á radiation and by scanning electron microscopy¡£ 3. Lithium foil was used as counter and reference electrodes and Merck Selectipur LP32(1M LiPF6 in 2:1 DC/EC)was used as the electrolyte. 4.An Arbin battery testing system was used for galvanostatic cycling. All cells were cycled at 15mA/g active material and 20¡æ unless otherwise noted. |
