A Ph.D. Student Position at Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY, USA Graduate Assistantship ? Approximate Annual Salary: US$26,500 ? Tuition: Waived Requirements ? MS degree in EE, Physics, ME, CS, Math or other related fields with an interest in pursuing a Ph.D. degree in EE ? Good Math/Phys background ? Coding experience in C, C++, Python and/or Matlab ? Basic understanding of numerical methods ? Interested in research publications Tests: ? TOEFL ? GRE (Exception can be made for strong candidates) Some of the following Additional Qualifications (desired but not required) ? Basic knowledge in the finite difference or finite element method ? Basic knowledge of VLSI design ? Basic knowledge of computer architectures ? Basic knowledge in parallel/distributed programming Expectations ? Willing to learn interdisciplinary subjects. The projects involve thermal simulation, multiphysics simulation, machine learning, IC design, and coding in a GPU architecture simulator. ? Self-motivated, positive and hard-working attitude Job Description ? Assist professors in teaching fundamental EE courses ? Carry out research projects toward the Ph.D. degree. ?
