Ph.D. Positions for Research of Pure and Applied Photosciences The Ph.D. program of photochemical sciences at BGSU is unique in the USA and in the world as well. If you search “Center for Photochemical Sciences” using Baidu, the first response in the search results is “BGSU Center for Photochemical Sciences”. The Center has 18 full-time faculty members, covering research areas such as materials & polymers, inorganics & organometallics, physical chemistry and chemical physics, biochemistry, green & sustainable chemistry, organic chemistry, physics and biological sciences (https://www.bgsu.edu/arts-and-sc ... cal-sciences.html). The faculty members often publish papers in high-level journals including Science, Nature, JACS and Nano Letters. After graduation, students will typically find jobs in chemical and materials companies (e.g. P&G), renewable energy (e.g. First Solar), petroleum and pharmacy, or continue their research in national labs, universities or R&D divisions in big and small companies. The Ph.D. students will be fully supported by teaching assistant positions or research assistant positions.
