[交流] [Kings College London CSC PhD Position][Attosecond, Ultrafast, Strong Field]

kings college london(kcl)目前有一个csc-kcl的联合博士生项目，申请人目前必须是国内在读的硕士研究生，入学前(2019年8月)要取得硕士学位。申请人和导师一同写proposal，提交给kcl和csc. 英国的deadline是2019年1月，取得kcl的offer以后，申请人要向国内的csc提交申请，csc也通过之后，申请人就可以于2019年9月入学。和去美国相比，英国读博只需要雅思或托福的成绩，学制要比美国短。
申请过程中，proposal至关重要，申请人要和导师一同准备，因此感兴趣的同学，请提前和dr. amelle zair联系。

导师的简单介绍
dr. amelle zair是法国人，在法国university of bordeaux拿到博士学位，之后在瑞士eth做博后的时候，2008年首次发现了高次谐波产生过程中量子路径干涉现象(quantum path interference - qpi)，这是qpi领域的奠基性工作( phys. rev. lett. 100, 143902 (2008))。之后拿到epsrc career acceleration fellows在帝国理工做pi。去年在kings college london拿到lecturer的(tenure)职位，详细信息请见网页。

research area: attosciences and ultrafast and strong field physics

the student should have a clear interest in ultrafast.
the student need to be proceeding is msc 2018-2019 with an expectation of a 1:1 and minimum for eligibility is 2:1.
the student need to have evidence of good level of english ( toefl etc.. 6.5)
the student should apply first at kings before the deadline around 12th of january 2019.
the selected students will write the scientific proposal (with the help from the supervisor) and submit the application on both side ( chinese and english ).
the condition is that student should return to china after his or her phd.

oxford和cambridge有做超快的组，但是并没有大力开展阿秒的研究；英国目前开展阿秒研究的学校集中在伦敦，imperial college london (icl)、university college london (ucl)和 king’s college london(kcl)。目前在kcl成立的是新组，kcl的物理系会结合阿秒-材料做研究。感兴趣的同学请直接联系dr. amelle zair.
