1 in fashion / in a fashion

疑:in fashion 与in a fashion 这两个看似相近的短语有何区别?
解:in fashion 一般指“流行”、“很时髦”,而 in a fashion 则是指“勉强”、“大不好”(相当于 after a fashion) 。

1) Long shirts for women are no longer in fashion
2) She can play the piano in a fashion.

。。无兴趣”(即 not interested in)、“不关心的”。
1. I am uninterested in politics.

2. I told him the news but he seemed uninterested.

3. Kokoluke was uninterested in that girl.
Kokoluke

1. A webmaster must be disinterested in the tips he tries

2 His action was not disinterested because he hoped to make money out of the affair.

1. Arnoldfu works on his website alternate days.
正如大家熟悉的 every ten minutes , this two dollars ..
every three days 每三天
The American people elect a president every four years.
2. alternate laughter and tears

Example:
1. Uibeanna solved this problem by the alternative method.
2. It will take time to develop alternative energy sources.
3. There are alternative answers to your question.

1 Alternative sources of protein must be found when meat and fish are not available.
A . New sources B. Less expensive sources
C. More sources D. Other sources
2 It is advisable to have an alternative plan.
A. a substitute B. a better
C. an easier D. an equal

executor, executioner 和 executive

example:

1 The man named his lawyer as his executor.
2 He appointed the bank to act as his executor

The President of the U.S. is the Chief Executive.

a high executive of a company
the production executive of Hollywood

an webmaster team lacking executive powers.
executive authorities
