It is a pCR-Script vector (from Startagene) containing a PCR fragment covering the mitochondrial cytochrome b intron-less gene, which I used for the construction of most of the cytochrome b mutants. As you know, after mutagenesis, the mutated gene needs to be recombined into the mitochondrial genome. It is not a re-coded gene for nuclear transformation and expression. If you give the name and postal address, I can send a few ul of the plasmid next week if you wish. Brigitte Meunier the gene for cyt b is encoded on mitochondrial DNA and therefore you cannot use expression vectors to express the protein. We do not have such a construct.
