¿ÎÌâÏîÄ¿½éÉÜ£º This project will transform commodity polymers used in 3D printing to control their properties for advanced applications. The student will utilise a number of techniques to synthesise and characterize the polymers to create new materials with interesting properties. This will enable inexpensive and facile synthesis of functional smart materials for use in 3D and 4D printing. The project is in an interdisciplinary team with postdocs and other students. The students will learn advanced polymers synthesis techniques and physical characterization of these. The project will develop new materials and methods for applications including soft robotics, colour changing structures and self-healing printed objects for protective coatings. µ¥Î»¼ò½é£º The Australian National University (ANU), located in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, is a research-intensive, research-led university, established by an Act of the Australian Parliament to advance and transit knowledge by understanding research and teaching of the highest quality. The announced Phd position will be based on the Synthetic Polymer Chemistry group within the ANU Research School of Chemistry.
