新加坡国立大学化工系赵丹博士多孔材料课题组招收2019年春季入学博士
dr zhao’s group at department of chemical and biomolecular engineering, national university of singapore (nus) is directly recruiting phd student for january 2019 intake (http://cheed.nus.edu.sg/stf/chezhao/home.html, http://cheed.nus.edu.sg/stf/chezhao/members.html).
we are seeking highly motivated candidates to undertake doctoral studies with us. our group is focused on the development and engineering of advanced porous materials (apms) in order to address pressing global challenges in areas including clean energy and environment sustainability. apms, such as metal-organic frameworks (mofs) and covalent organic frameworks (cofs), have become frontiers in materials research due to their tunable porosities and versatile chemical compositions. candidates will join a dynamic team with an established track record in the study of micro- and mesoporous materials, including synthetic procedures, characterization, and integration into functional devices and membranes for various engineering applications, such as natural gas storage, co2 capture, smell sensing, water harvesting and purification. the call for january 2019 phd intake application is open till september 2018. interested candidates may contact dr zhao (chezhao@nus.edu.sg) directly for more information.

We are especially searching PhDs and Postdocs for the following projects:
1. Design, synthesis, and processing of advanced porous materials (APMs) for gas storage and separation, such as natural gas storage, CO2 capture, and hydrocarbon separation. The candidates should have good backgrounds in solid materials, sorption processes, and separation engineering.
2. Design and fabrication of mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) containing APMs for gas separation and water treatment, such as H2 purification, natural gas upgrading, and seawater desalination. The candidates should have good backgrounds in membrane science and technologies with a focus on MMMs.
3. Design and fabrication of advanced ceramic membranes (ACMs) containing MOFs, COFs, and 2D materials for liquid-based separation, such as dehydration, solvent recovery, and chiral separation. The candidates should have good backgrounds in membrane science and technologies with a focus on ACMs.
4. Design, synthesis, and evaluation of fluorescent porous materials (FPMs) for the chemical sensing of volatile organic compounds. The candidates should have good backgrounds in organic synthesis, polymer chemistry, and analytical chemistry.
