The Engineered Wood and Building System research group is led by Prof. Ying Hei Chui in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. Prof. Chui is the Chairholder of the NSERC Industry Research Chair in Engineered Wood and Building System. We are seeking highly motivated and qualified candidates for the following positions. http://www.civil.engineering.ual ... uctural/YHChui.aspx MSc or PhD students with background and interest in one of the following areas: - Timber structural engineering - Seismic engineering - Engineered wood products - Building vibration and acoustics Successful candidates must be self-motivated, work well in a team environment, be able to make progress with minimum supervision and possess adequate English speaking and writing skills.
