A fully funded PhD studentship Queen Mary University of London and SUST

A fully funded PhD scholarship is available in the Division of Engineering Science in the School of Engineering and Materials Science, at Queen Mary University of London in 2018. The project involves mathematical modelling and computational simulations of multiphase flows and fluid-structure interaction with applications in advanced 3d printing and microfluidic cancer cells sorting, amongst others. The student will be jointly supervised by an international team consisting of Dr Yi Sui and another Professor from QMUL and Professor Yu Peng from Southern University of Science and Technology （SHENZHEN）. Requirement: 1, a master’s degree or a good bachelor’s degree in mechanics, applied mathematics, materials science, mechanical/chemical engineering. Experience with computational mechanics is highly preferred 2, self-motivated, hard-working, responsible 3, a valid English certificate equivalent to IELTS 6.5+ 4, the opportunity is suitable for candidates who are truly interested in research of the highest level of quality Scholarship: The student will spend two years at QMUL, with a salary of about ￡16k/year, and two years in Southern University of Science and Technology with a salary of about RMB 120k/year. The student will be awarded the PhD by Queen Mary University of London.
